Perry Van Etten, Rozanski & Kutner, LLP and Lawrence, Worden, Rainis & Bard, PC have agreed to merge effective January 1, 2025. The new law firm, which is named Perry, Van Etten, Rainis & Kutner, LLP, is comprised of 25 attorneys with office locations in Melville and Manhattan, New York as well as New Jersey. We will continue to handle cases throughout New York State and New Jersey, with concentrations in the New York City metropolitan area and Long Island’s Nassau and Suffolk Counties. As a result of the merger, Perry, Van Etten, Rainis & Kutner, LLP will offer its clients greater resources, bench strength and enhanced defense expertise, along with greater efficiencies attained both through increased capacities and through continued investments in information technology innovations. The announcement follows a unanimous vote by both firms’ leadership in late 2024.

Attorneys of the new Perry, Van Etten, Rainis & Kutner, LLP share significant practice strengths in critical, complex and high exposure insurance defense, including in the areas of medical malpractice, construction accidents involving New York Labor Law, automobile and insurance coverage litigation at both pre-trial and trial levels, as well as in appellate advocacy, alternate dispute resolution, excess insurance litigation monitoring and other areas of tort defense litigation and casualty insurance dispute resolution.

Each of the firms constituting the new Perry Van Etten, Rainis & Kutner, LLP firm have been successfully managing their clients risk exposures in the casualty insurance industry for over three decades and have been acknowledged as “AV” rated law firms, with many individual members also recognized as rated by Super Lawyers in the New York metro area.
